1994 July To 1995 September | MEXX INTERNATIONAL, Pune (1994 – 95) Established the retail outlet at Pune and took charge as Chief Coordinator. Work involved: · Advertising and publicity of new outlet · Staff recruitment · Store buying and visual merchandising · Evolving strategy for functioning of new outlet. · Market research and customer service. |
1995 October | Established my own workshop at Pune. Job orders included: · Personal clientele · Costume Designer for an acting diploma film at the FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA, Pune – “HYPNOSIS” directed by Rajat Kapoor (recipient of the National Award for a previous film and the director of Raghu Romeo.) Hypnosis was screened at the Italy Film Festival this year and had the honour of being the inaugural film at the India International Film Festival, 1998. · Costume Designer and continuity director for a Marathi feature film – “LIMITED MANUS KI” directed by Nachiket Patwardhan (recipient of the National Award for a previous film). · Freelance designer for knit wears (brand – “SIN”) · Executed job orders for garment shops in Pune. |
1996 January to 1997 January | Senior Designer at KALA NIKETAN’S “STUDIO KN”[Export house], Mumbai. Work involved: · Evolving systems for Studio KN. · Dealing with foreign buyers at Kala Darshan, an export house. · Co-ordinating and managing the staff at Studio KN. · Designing and production co-ordination. |

2004 July 2006 April | – Costume Designer for “HAMLET” – a theater production by Pravah Theater Laboratory for performance, training and research. The play premiered at the Prithvi theatre and was performed at the National Theatre Festival – Mumbai. The play has also been invited to the Bharat Rang Mahotsav ’06 – a National Theatre Festival organized by the National School of Drama, Delhi. _ Costume Designer for “ VANDE MATARAM – 5000 YEARS OF INDIAN HISTORY”- a theatre production for D.A.V. Public School, Airoli. Designed and coordinated costumes for 1500 students. |
2005 August | - Currently working as a Fashion and Production Consultant to a garment firm, VEDANTE’ EXPORT CLOTHING CO. The job profile involves designing of bridal wear and bridal sarees. |
